appreciate后可接that從句。美國人習慣在appreciate后直接加that，而英國人則習慣在that前加上the fact。

appreciate后不可接不定式，可以接動名詞。
He appreciates being advised.
他很感激得到了建議。
有時，appreciate后帶動賓語it最好不討省略掉。

公文里常習慣用It is appreciated that…和It will be appreciated that…的表達方式，不過有人認為可以省略。

appreciate的基本意思是“高度評價某事物”,可表示對某事物理解深刻而能鑒賞或欣賞其價值,特別是美學價值,有時還可表示非常喜歡、非常感激的意思。引申還可表示“增值”。
appreciate作“感激”“重視”“體會到”解時,是及物動詞,可接名詞、動名詞(但不接動詞不定式)作賓語,也可接that從句�？捎糜诒粍咏Y構。appreciate作“增值”解時是不及物動詞,作“使增值”解時是及物動詞。
appreciate可接動名詞,但不接動詞不定式。例如:
我們將樂于再收到你的信。誤:We shall appreciate to hear from youagain.正:We shall appreciate hearing from youagain.
在美式英語中, appreciate可直接接that從句; 而在較正式的英國用法中, that從句常須用the fact來引導。例如:I appreciate the fact that this is not an easy decision to make.我意識到這不是一個容易作出的決定。
